Lipstick Stains

Lipstick Everywhere…

Okay, I’m not the perfect housewife or homemaker and I don’t claim to be. I made a huge mistake. Lipstick went through the washer and then the dryer in a load of darks, which, were mostly my husband’s clothing items. Lipstick stains

This is the inside of some grey shorts. Lipstick everywhere.  I am not going to lie, he was NOT happy. I assured him I would fix it or replace the ruined items. I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money to replace. So, I figured I would find a solution for my lipstick problem.

Steps

Step 1:

Spray extra hold hair spray, aerosol onto each stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.Lipstick removal hairspray Step 2:

Take a wet, warm colorfast wash cloth and gently scrub the stains. You won’t see much improvement yet, don’t worry.

Step 3:

Add 100% acetone to each stain. (Be of the mindset that this may not be amazing for the fabric, but it didn’t cause any issues with any fabrics I tested. Be warned.) Now scrub it with an old toothbrush. Here is where I saw results.
