Donny’s Smoked Cream Cheese

Smoked Cream cheese is–the best thing since sliced bread! My husband made it the other day when we were watching football! It can be made as a spread for your crackers or—it can be the unique ingredient that makes your homemade jalapeno poppers…well… pop! (I’ll be posting a jalapeno popper recipe tomorrow!)

Smoked Cream Cheese

This is the simple spread you never knew you needed!

Cook Time 2 hours 30 minutes

  • smoker
  • metal baking sheet
  • Sharp Knife


  • 1 brick cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 5 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  • Preheat the smoker to 165 (or lowest setting, or smoke setting)
  • Place the cream cheese on a metal baking sheet
  • Cover top, sides, of the cream cheese with the spice mixture
  • Leave it be for 2.5 hours
  • Place on a serving platter with crackers and a spreading knife.
