Sure, you can buy chicken stock. But there is nothing more satisfying than making your own. Not to mention, its free! You just need your leftover chicken bones from a whole chicken! Other veggie scraps such as onion skins and ends, carrots, and celery are welcome ingredients as well! You can make quite a bit of stock from this! You can freeze this in ice cube trays and then bag. You can also can it! Check it out!
- 1 Large Stock Pot
- 1 large pot water
- chicken bones
- 1 celery stick with leaves
- 1 tsp salt (add more later to taste)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Place all ingredients in a pot with water
- Bring to a boil
- Simmer for 4-6 hours
