Crafts, Sewing, and Hobbies
Let’s face it, I can’t sew, hem, or alter a dress. That skill died with my grandmother. She could sew, crochet, knit, and conjure up all sorts of crafts. I myself have not taken the time to explore this in my adult life. I cannot remember the last time I did adult art sand crafts.
Should these skills be lost on my generation and these younger kids? Not only do many of these abilities teach a woman thriftiness but sometimes they can make quite the conversation starter at a social event, and often, these items make great gifts!
In this section, I will share my discoveries while learning all sorts of skills. Will all of them be successes? Probably not, but we will learn something from it. And…just maybe you won’t make the same mistakes I do!
